2014 Favorites

2014 was a difficult year for me in my life, however, I found some really nice products that have quickly become some of my all time favorites.

1. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I actually started wearing concealer this year, and I'm never going back. This one has great coverage and does not crease or make my under eye area dry or oily. I use a mixture of Deep and Cafe (the two darkest shades).

2. Maybelline Color Whisper in Go Nude
I have LOVED this lip balm for years now, and this year was no different. This is hands down my favorite lip product in the world. It is moisturizing and gives off a subtle peachy/nude tint that I love. It is very natural looking as well.

3. Maybelline Baby Lips in Peppermint
This is a new discovery for me and it is one of the best lip balms I have ever tried. Everyone has raved over the Baby Lips for ages and I decided that I wanted to try a couple. This is my favorite one that I own because it tastes good, is extremely moisturizing, and leaves my lips glossy with no color which is nice. In addition, it has 20 SPF, so I used it a lot in the summer to protect my lips from the sun.

4. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
I have used this powder for a couple years now, and I still love it. It keeps my skin oil free all day and does not look cakey.

5. L'Oréal 24 Hour Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush
I LOVE THIS EYESHADOW so much. I started using this product late 2013, and I fell in love. I use this pressed eyeshadow every single day, whether it be on my lids or inner corner to highlight. It has the most beautiful pigmentation and it extremely long wearing and does not crease. I LOVE IT and will continue to use it everyday as it will probably last me forever.

6. Wet n Wild Nail Polish in Wet Cement
OMG I fell in love with this nail polish this year. I received this nail polish as a gift this year from a friend and although I owned a similar color, I decided to try it out. I love how the brush is nice and wide which makes application of the polish very easy and quick. Also, this nail polish dries quickly and goes on very smoothly. In addition, it last up to a week on my nails which is a BIG thing for me because more expensive brands, like OPI and Essie, chip on me in a couple days. This one was a HUGE hit.

7. Covergirl Last Blast Volume
I purchased this mascara over the summer and I really like it. It creates long, voluminous lashes that do not clump. Overall, it's a nice, no fuss mascara that it really easy to apply.

8. Sleep Cycle App
I downloaded this app in April of 2014 and have used it every single night since. I like this app because it essentially tracks your sleep. When you wake up in the morning, it showed you charts and data about how well you slept, your sleep cycles, and how long you slept. In addition, it wakes you up when you are in your lightest sleep cycle which makes getting up in the morning a LOT  easier, because you are not as tired as you would have been if you woke up in your deepest sleep cycle.

9. Starbucks: Peach Green Tea Lemonade
I believe this was a new drink that Starbucks released this summer and it was love at first sip. I drank an embarrassing amount of Starbucks in the latter half of this year, and this was ALWAYS my go-to.

10. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
This is hands down my favorite book I've ever read. This author's descriptions of characters and settings are flawless and the plot is very heavy and interesting. I could not put this book down. If you would like a full description of the book, check out: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/77203.The_Kite_Runner

11. Movie: Divergent
I think I watched this movie at least 3 times in the past year, which is saying something for me, because I rarely rewatch movies. I loved Shailene Woodly and Theo James in this movie and their acting was phenomenal. I also read the entire book series after watching this movies in theaters.

12. TV Show: Gossip Girl
I flew through all 6 seasons of Gossip Girl this summer and I loved it. Serena is by far my favorite character and I also really like Blair and Chuck's relationship. Although this show has almost no plot line, I loved it because there was ALWAYS something interesting happening. It is must-watch.

13. Thick Strap Rainbows
I bought my second pair of Rainbows this summer and FELL IN LOVE. These are by far my most worn shoes this year and i absolutely love them. They are very comfortable and easy to walk around in. They also DO NOT BREAK. I've worn mine to the beach, pool, playing volleyball, gone on LONG walks, school, and basically everywhere else.

Hope you enjoyed my 2014 Favorites!

18 January 2015: A Typical Sunday

Good Afternoon Lovelies!

This morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and very ready for the day. I got ready and drove to volunteering. I volunteer at a hospital everyday Saturday or Sunday morning, so I did that. Then I came home and ate this spectacular tofu roll, oh my god, it was delicious. I am currently doing some homework at the local library, which is basically my second home, and I ran into an old friend of mine.

I've also recently been obsessed with lychee jelly in my mango tea from Coffee Society. I absolutely love it.

Also, I've been ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with the Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Soundtrack. One of my closest friends gave me the CD for my birthday and I have been jamming out to it all this past week, with the max volume. I love how there is a strong bass/beat in almost every song and I would highly recommend you listen to it. I've also been listening to a LOT more (ghetto)/rap boy style music recently and I've been loving it. Some of my favorites have been GDFR, Turn Down for What, and Shots. I've also been listening to David Guetta's new album, Listen (Deluxe) and it's REALLY good. HAHHAH. So much new music I'm loving. I love finding new music to listen to. Hopefully, I do not get sick of it anytime soon, because that happens A LOT. Also, speaking of music, I am in NEED of an AUX cord for my car!

Anyway, I plan on washing my car, starting laundry, and going to the gym later tonight.

Have a nice day!

2015 New Year's Resolutions

1. Workout M-F.
I want to workout more because I feel like it will make me healthier and happier and also more tired, so i will be able to fall asleep easily in the night.

2. Drink one bottle of water a day.
Water will make me healthier and make my nails, hair, and skin a lot better.

3. No swearing.
I've always been one to swear a lot and this year I want to cut down my swearing because I do not like how it sounds, as well as I want to be more classy.

4. No excess of unhealthy foods.
Now, I'm not cutting out all junk food, however, I am going to try and eat healthier and smaller portions in order to be more fit and toned.

5. Be nice.
I've noticed in the past couple year, that I rarely filter the things I say to people and a lot of it comes off as rude and arrogant. This year, I want to try to make an effort to curb my rudeness and be nicer to people.

6. Focus on School.
I am currently a junior in high school and I really need to focus on school over a social life if I want to do well and get good grades.

7. Meet New People.
I love meeting new people and making new friends and this year I want to make a positive effort into doing this.

These are all of my New Year's Resolutions for 2015. Hopefully, this will be a great year!
